PAK VS AUS | Aamir Jamal sets a record on his Test debut
Australia were all out for 487 on the second day of the first Test in Perth on Friday. The hosts resumed on 346-5 after opener David Warner hit a courageous 164 on the first day, with Mitchell Marsh on 16 and Alex Carey on 15. Marsh appeared set for a fourth Test century, but he was bowled for 90 on the first ball after lunch by paceman Khurram Shahzad.
Before Aamir Jamal, Arif Butt, Mohammad Nazir, Shahid Nazir, Mohammad Zahid, Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Sami, Shabbir Ahmed, Yasir Arafat, Wahab Riaz, Tanvir Ahmed, Bilal Asif, Nauman Ali and Abrar Ahmed had also taken a five-wicket haul on their test debuts.
Shahzad ended with 2-83, but fellow debutant Jamal stole the spotlight with 6-111. Pakistan have never won a Test series in Australia and have failed to win a Test in the country since 1995.
