New Zealand squad T20Is against Pakistan

Announced on Tuesday, the New Zealand Cricket (NZC) on the five-match home T20I series against Pakistan has a 15-member roster set to run from March 16 to 26.

Among seven players from New Zealand’s contingent for the recently finished ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, all-rounder Michael Bracewell will be heading the Blackcaps in the next T20I series. “Mitch Santner’s done a great job since taking over as white-ball captain. I’ll really just be trying to build on his good work and create an enjoyable environment for the guys to perform in,” Bracewell said in a NZC release.

“Pakistan are always a dangerous short-form side with lots of power and speed and we know they will be hurting after an early exit in the Champions Trophy.”

Senior spinner Ish Sodhi and pacer Ben Sears, who missed the huge tournament because to a torn hamstring, also made their comeback in the squad.

While seasoned Matt Henry, the top wicket-taker of the Champions Trophy 2025, would be available for the last two matches, pacers Kyle Jamieson and would O’Rourke were chosen for the first three T20Is.

The action is part of NZC’s strategy to distribute the three pacers’ duty, who lately competed in the eight-team event.
