Nepali Sherpa sets Pakistan climbing record
On Thursday, his agency said that he had broken the record by becoming the second person to climb all 14 peaks above 8,000 metres (26,247 feet). Nepalese mountain climber Sanu Sherpa, from the Sankhuwasabha area in eastern Nepal, reached the top of Pakistan’s Gasherbrum II on Thursday morning. At 8,035 metres, Gasherbrum II is the 13th highest peak in the world.
