International Cricket Council have named an all-female panel of match officials for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 starting from October 3, 2024. This year’s tournament will take place in between Dubai and Sharjah, hosting a total number of 23 games between the ten competing teams.
A panel comprising ten on-field umpires and three match referees-can be termed a strong indication of ICC’s policy of achieving equity between the sexes. Shandré Fritz, GS Lakshmi, and Michell Pereira are appointed match referees for the tournament.
Of the umpires, Australia’s Claire Polosak will be featuring in her fifth Women’s T20 World Cup while Kim Cotton and Jacqueline Williams will be officiating for a fourth time.
