At the fourth Mas-Wrestling World Championships, held in Yakut, Russia, Pakistan took home two silver medals. Waqas Afzal Bhatti and Saad Mohammad both earned silver medals in the 125 kg and 60 kg weight classes, according to Pakistan Mas-Wrestling Federation officials. He defeated Sheikh Abdul Ahad Yunus in the first round of qualifications. After winning his semi-final match, he progressed to the finals of the competition. Before facing Serbia in the semi-finals, Saad had to win both Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. After a streak of triumphs, he had to settle for second place in the final. There are 45 countries taking part in the competition, which began yesterday in Russia. Eleven men and one woman from Pakistan are competing in the championships. Several fights are scheduled on Friday, including those for Aurangzaib Shah, Shaffat Ullah, Natasha Amani Khan, Afshal Anser and others.
