Radio Catalunya’s Barca Reservat reports that Lionel Messi will attend FC Barcelona’s 125th anniversary gala. The famous player started his career at La Masia at 13. Despite growing issues, he made his senior debut against Espanyol at 17 in 2004.
Messi became Barca’s greatest player and one of the best players of all time, scoring 672 goals in 17 years, according to Goal.com. Even if President Joan Laporta promised him otherwise, Barcelona’s financial problems became too much to handle in 2021, and the Argentine maestro left the club.
According to Catalunya Radio’s Tot Costa, Laporta has invited Messi to his former club’s 125th anniversary at the Liceu Theatre on November 29. The World Cup winner is expected to attend the occasion and return to the club after leaving in 2021.
