India restricts Pakistan to 99 with all-round bowling

On the second day of the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, India bowled so well that Pakistan could only score 99 runs. Indian bowlers took advantage of Pakistan’s choice to bat first and put the Green Shirts out for 99 runs. Meghna Singh gave India the lead after Iram Javed was sent back to the pavilion for a duck.

Muneeba Ali kept her spot as Pakistan’s top run scorer by getting 32 runs in 30 balls before Sneh Rana won the game. Bismah Maroof, who was the team’s captain, scored 17 runs off of 19 balls before Rana got rid of him quickly. Pakistan’s middle order fell apart quickly as India’s bowlers put on an amazing show to knock them down to 99 runs. Meghna Shafali Verma and Renuka Shafali Verma each got one wicket for India, while Rana and Radha Yadav each got two.
