With 136 victories following their third victory in the five-match series, the Men in Blue broke the previous record held by Pakistan and took the top spot in the table.
With 135 victories, the Men in Green dropped to second position in the meantime. New Zealand, with 102 victories, comes in third place on the list. India defeated the Mathew Wade-led team by 20 runs in today’s match at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur, to take an unbeatable 3-1 lead over Australia in the Twenty20 International Series.

As India, batting first, scored a respectable 174/9 in the 20 overs allotted to them. Australia’s 20 overs were limited to 154/7 in response. Captain Suryakumar Yadav decided to bring wrist spinner Ravi Bishnoi into the attack as the game was about to end. The wrist spinner supported his captain’s move by smashing Phillipe’s stumps on the first ball.
