Both sides will travel to the T20I World Cup 2024 after the England series at Headingley (May 22), Birmingham (May 25), Cardiff (May 28), and The Oval, London (May 30).

Pakistan’s campaign against the US begins in Dallas on June 6. Pakistan will play its maiden T20I series in Ireland. Pakistan won by 39 runs in the 2009 T20I World Cup with Kamran Akmal winning player of the match for his 51-ball 57 and two stumpings.

Interestingly, both nations are in the same T20I World Cup 2024 group and will meet each other in Florida on June 16. Besides the two teams, India, USA, and Canada are in the same group, with the top two going to the second stage. Pakistan head coach Azhar Mahmood says their T20I World Cup preparations began with the home series against New Zealand and are now being finalized.

We know our game plans, strategies, and combinations. He said we must gather everything before arriving in the US. Pakistan has only faced Ireland once so that they would be a fresh opponent, Azhar remarked.

“Any T20 team may be dangerous since the contest can change in one over. Mahmood said the three T20Is will reveal their players’ T20 cricket strategies.

Visa difficulties will keep fast bowler Mohammad Amir out of the opening T20I. The team should get him on Friday.
