Fifa World Cup 2034: Saudia Arabia 92,000-seater King Salman Stadium

Saudi Arabia revealed its design designs for the 92,000-capacity King Salman Stadium in Riyadh, the 2034 Fifa Men’s World Cup’s centrepiece. According to Sports Business Journal, the Saudi Ministry of Sports released a computer-generated promotional film of the state-of-the-art stadium, which will be finished in the fourth quarter of 2029.

The stadium will house the Saudi national football team and be part of a sports complex with an indoor sports hall, an Olympic-sized pool, and other facilities.
Saudi Arabia was the only country to submit a bid for the 2034 Fifa World Cup before the deadline in late 2023, making it likely to win. Populous’ Riyadh King Salman Stadium will revolutionise sports and entertainment infrastructure.

The stadium is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 effort to make the country a global sports and cultural hub. Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 Fifa Men’s World Cup, and Populous is developing Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium, King Fahad International Stadium, and Aramco Stadium.

These are among 11 stadiums the country will develop before the tournament. King Salman Stadium will have a Royal Box, 300 VVIP seats, hospitality suites and lounges around the seating bowl, and 2,200 VIP seats.

The stadium will have gardens, a roof walk with panoramic views of King Abdulaziz Park, and green walls and roofs.
