Eisha Sajid climbs Broad Peak
Pakistani women climbers are making progress toward their goals on different peaks that are higher than 8,000 meters. They want to reach new heights. Naila Kiani and Samina Baig are currently trying to become the first Pakistani women to climb K2. Eisha Sajid, who is only 16 years old, is climbing Broad Peak to try to become the youngest Pakistani climber to climb an eight-thousander in Pakistan.
“For now, we’re staying just above Camp 2 and a little below Lower C3,” she said.
“We’ll move on tomorrow.” Naila hoped to get to the top of the mountain by July 22 or 23. No matter who gets to the top first, it will be a proud moment for Pakistan if a woman from Pakistan is the first to climb K2. Karrar Haider, the secretary of the Alpine Club of Pakistan, said that Naila is with Sirbaz Ali and Wajid Nagri. Eisha, a newcomer who is 16 years old, has also started her journey on Broad Peak. The first-time climber is now at camp one after finishing the C2 rotation. If Eisha makes it to the top of Broad Peak, she will be the youngest person from Pakistan to do so. Shehroze was only 17 years old at the time.
“We are currently at camp one and will leave for camp two tomorrow Inshaallah,” she posted on her Instagram account.
“The trek towards base camp was just a minor challenge that I had to face. The real challenge is yet to come. I have to admit I’m a little nervous, but more than that, I’m excited to finally get up there,” she had posted earlier from the base camp.
