Bangladesh cricket squad to arrive early in Pakistan
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Saturday that Bangladesh’s cricket team will come early. On August 13, the team will arrive in Lahore instead of Islamabad on August 17. The PCB urged the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to deploy their team early to ensure appropriate and fair training before the ICC World Test Championship matches. The board announced that the Tigers will play in Rawalpindi and Karachi’s two ICC World Test Championship matches from August 21 to 25 and August 30 to September 3.
From August 14 to 16, they will train at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, then go to Rawalpindi on August 17 for extra practice from August 18 to 20. “Sports are about camaraderie and winning and losing. I’m convinced that Lahore’s extra training will help the players shine on the world stage “PCB COO Salman Naseer said. “We are delighted that the BCB has accepted our offer and look forward to hosting the Bangladesh men’s cricket team in Lahore on August 13 with our traditional hospitality. He stated that this will provide them three more days of training and practice at one of our classic sites before heading to Islamabad.
Bangladesh cricket team CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury thanked the PCB for enabling them to go to Pakistan early. “This will certainly help the players to acclimatise to the conditions and prepare better for the ICC World Test Championship series,” the CEO said. Bangladesh last toured in 2020, playing three T20Is in Lahore and one Test in Rawalpindi. They also played two matches against Pakistan and Afghanistan in Pakistan for the ACC Asia Cup 2023.
