This triumph was Australia’s fourth U19 title and first since 2010, successfully avenging their losses to India in the 2012 and 2018 titles. Australia has won three major ICC trophies in the last 12 months, including the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023, in addition to the titles stated above. On the other hand, India has won the U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup five times before.
India dominated their group and Super Six meetings, winning convincingly over Bangladesh, Ireland, and the United States to take first place in Group A. Musheer Khan and Uday Saharan shone with the bat in the group stage, while Naman Tiwari and Saumy Pandey dominated with the ball.
