Australia and England’s T20 World Cup match gets postponed
After a dismal day, the Ireland-Afghanistan match at the venue was cancelled earlier. England emerged in second place in Group 1 with three points among a stalemate of teams.
With a game remaining, New Zealand leads the group on run rate ahead of Ireland in third place and Australia in fourth place. However, the Black Caps may take the lead if they defeat Sri Lanka on Saturday in Sydney.
No one from England, Australia, or Ireland can afford another loss because the top two teams have advanced to the semifinals.
